LIPO LASER  FAQ’S

 What is LIPO LASER?

The Lipo Laser is a safe, painless and completely non-invasive treatment for spot fat reduction and inch loss.  The Lipo Laser utilizes the latest low level/cold laser technology to reduce girth and spot fat over almost all areas of the body without surgery, downtime or redness.  Lipo Laser's non-invasive treatment is considered one of the most innovative methods to treat stubborn areas of fat.   Male and female Lipo Laser clients have found those hard to reduce trouble spots, such as love handles, tummy bulge, and saddlebags disappear within just a few treatments. Clients are able to enjoy a relaxing treatment since the Lipo Laser probes remain static on their skin, no wandering technique is required.

How does a non-invasive Lipo Laser technology work?

Non-invasive Lipo Laser technology works with a patented cold laser conductor that is placed on the skin over areas to be treated for 30 minutes. Originally designed to speed up healing, doctors noticed that the cold laser technology would also liquefy fat cells painlessly.  In contrast to Liposuction, the non-invasive Lipo Laser does not remove the fat cell, it drains it.  The laser emits low level laser energy and penetrates the skin.  This makes the fat cell “sweat” the fat (water, glycerol and free fatty acids).  The fat cells shrink and the lymphatic system removes the fatty liquids through the body’s natural metabolic function and these are used by the body as an energy source. They are then processed in the same way as fatty foods that are digested.  This procedure gives a healthy and safe inch loss.  This process does not affect the neighboring structures such as skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves.

Is LIPO LASER safe?

Yes. The Lipo Laser is a cold laser and cold laser therapies have been safely employed for more than 30 years in clinics throughout the world. Lipo Laser is not suitable for those who are pregnant or nursing, have impaired kidney or liver function, autoimmune disorders, poorly controlled diabetes or hypertension, epilepsy, heart conditions with or without a pacemaker, have active cancer and/or undergoing radiation therapy, or anyone under the age of 18.  Hypo pigmentation may be caused over dark skin or tattoos.  The Lipo Laser treatment does not harm the body in any way as the fat cells are left intact.  The body will still maintain the ability to store fat in the areas that have been targeted.  This will prevent fat being stored in different parts such as around the heart or vital organs.

What parts of the body can be treated?

·   Stomach   ·   Hips   ·   Love Handles   ·  Thighs   ·  Arms under biceps   ·  Legs   ·  Buttocks   ·  Upper mid and lower back   ·  Male breasts   ·  Facial cheeks   ·  Double chin(s)   ·  Ankles

What happens during a Lipo laser treatment session?

Clients relax in a comfortable position while a trained Lipo Laser technician secures two multi-laser paddles and two smaller lasers to the target areas for 10 minute intervals. Clients are free to relax, read, or listen to music.

What happens after the Lipo laser treatment?

In order to increase the body’s ability to remove the broken down fat cells, it is necessary to help this natural process by increasing the metabolic rate.  Immediately after the session it is recommended that you do some cardiovascular exercise for at least 10 minutes.  For best results we provide a vibration machine (for those under 225 lbs.) and a trend mill (for those over 225 lbs.)  This will move the fat along to be flushed through by the lymphatic system.  Clients then may resume normal activities (including exercise).

How quickly will the client see results?

Some clients notice results after the first treatment; however, a standard treatment protocol consists of two, 30 minute treatment sessions every week for six weeks.  One typical waistline treatment can reduce an individual up to ½ of an inch while a full protocol of twelve treatments usually results in multiple inch loss. Maintenance treatments can be performed at less frequent intervals once desired results are achieved.

Where does the fat go?

Unless the released fat is burned in the body as fuel, it simply undergoes normal metabolic processing.  The Lipo Laser Treatment causes the fat cells to release the fat which is then drained through the lymphatic system.  Effectiveness of this is dependent on the lymphatic system functioning properly, as this removes the waste from the body.

How many treatments are required?

A series of 30 minute treatments, depending upon the individual needs and/or area(s) to be treated is usually prescribed.   A recommendation of expected number of treatments will be given during the initial consultation.  Scheduled treatment sessions two times per week are recommended.   Diet modification and exercise are recommended but it is important to remember that the Lipo Laser can help you contour and sculpt those places that do not respond to exercise and diet, as well as improve your cellulite and your overall appearance. The Lipo Laser helps tighten the skin as fat is lost by stimulating collagen and alas tin production. This skin tightening is an important benefit and works well with a weight loss or post surgical program to help prevent saggy skin rolls.

How often can I have LIPO LASER done per year?

Lipo Laser is a safe, non-invasive therapy and there are no known limitations to the number of times in can be used.

Is there discomfort associated with the treatments?

No. Lipo Laser treatments are completely non-invasive and most clients feel nothing. Clients resume their normal activities immediately after the session with no down-time.

Who is the ideal candidate for the Lipo Laser treatments?

There is no “ideal” candidate for Lipo Laser treatments. Studies have demonstrated efficacy for many different body and skin types. It is recommended that each client is evaluated based on body type and lifestyle so that reasonable expectations may be set for Lipo Laser results.  The most immediately noticeable results are often shown on clients who exercise (or have exercised) regularly or just have localized fat areas that they cannot reduce with diet or exercise.  Obese people take longer to see results.  Clients who maintain a healthy diet and moderate exercise regime will maintain the benefits of their Lipo Laser treatment and maintain their body shape.

Are there any contraindications or individuals who should not use the LipoLaser?

The LipoLaser should be avoided for those individuals with impaired kidney or liver function, autoimmune disorders, active cancer, or those who are pregnant or nursing.
